Privacy Policy

ClaUse Bar is a free macOS app developed by Bruno Tortato Furtado ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use ClaUse Bar.

We are committed to your privacy. ClaUse Bar is designed to work entirely on your machine, with no analytics, no tracking, and no data collection beyond what is strictly necessary to authenticate and display your usage.

ClaUse Bar stores the following data locally on your machine:

• Your Anthropic account session token (stored in the macOS Keychain)
• Your configured session and weekly usage alert thresholds
• App preferences such as update interval and start-at-login setting

None of this data is transmitted to our servers or to any third party other than Anthropic.

ClaUse Bar does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) beyond what Anthropic provides after authentication
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage statistics, analytics, or crash reports
• Your Claude conversation history or content

ClaUse Bar communicates exclusively with Anthropic's servers to authenticate your account and fetch your usage data. No other third-party services, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools are used.

ClaUse Bar authenticates with your Anthropic account using your email and password. Authentication is performed directly against Anthropic's servers.

Your session token is stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain using Apple's Security framework. It is never written to disk in plain text, never logged, and never transmitted to any server other than Anthropic's.

You can log out at any time from within the app, which removes the stored session token from the Keychain.

ClaUse Bar may request permission to send local notifications when you are approaching your configured usage thresholds. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not sent to any external server.

All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your machine and persist until you uninstall the app. Uninstalling ClaUse Bar permanently removes all associated data.

Your session token can be removed at any time by logging out within the app, without needing to uninstall.

ClaUse Bar does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Since the app does not collect any personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertently collecting data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
